INNOCENCE Shinobi aren't all bad... are they, Father? Morning, once again, started off before the sun even began to rise. With their supplies in check and their mission clear, the group of three gathered at the gate of Soragakure. Kentei, the eager and kind-hearted Samurai heir was more than ready to continue with his journey. Raijin, the young heir's escort. A member of the Samurai's mysterious Kougen Corps, he was prepared to defend young Kentei to the end, while also overseeing his development as a samurai, and a man. A new face had joined them, per order of Overseer Tsubasa. A female member of his clan, and quite a skilled Doton user from what was said. It was her mission to assist Kentei in utilizing his Doton Chakra to enhance his Kenjutsu. Once the three were packed, loaded up and ready to leave, Kentei took a moment to turn and wave farewell to the village that had looked after him these last few weeks. With the next step the group was off. Their destination, east. Towards the village hidden by a waterfall. Scouts had given even less info about that village than about Soragakure. Even though they were moving on, progressing with their mission.. Kentei's thoughts turned towards Sanrou. The mountains to the west, and to home. How long had it been already? How long will it continue to be? This was the first time that he was so far from home, and the distance would only continue to grow. Would he be the same when he finally made it home? Would he make it home at all? It was still an unknown. Shaking his head, the young Samurai decided to look forward. The next village was the only thing to be on his mind. It would take a few months to reach the village, curse their inability to preform the Shunshin technique. Walking wasn't so bad. It allowed them time to rest up, and see to Kentei's training so he could grow and continue to develop. ---- Time Skip ---- Rocks. Mountains. Boulders. Holy hell, was this landscape depressing. Two and a half months of seeing nothing but rock, rock and slightly larger rock. The landscape was barren. Destroyed, and absolutely lifeless. The few villages they had passed on their way were home to minimal plant-life, enough to survive..but not much else besides that. Earth was all Kentei had known for the last two months. His clothes were torn and dirtied. His armor stained, scratched and dented. How much hell had the young boy been through? A new confidence was reflected in his eyes. He was in the worst condition out of them all. His Kougen bodyguard, Raijin, looked like he just got his armor polished. It wasn't like a samurai to let his equipment fall into disrepair after all. Their female companion was in fine condition as well. Her cloak was a little torn and dirtied, but that came from all of the hours her and Kentei trained together. The group traveled in silence, their destination was drawing ever closer. The sun was pounding overhead, which had provided the young heir with a nice tan since this leg of the journey had begun. His hair was slightly longer, and his eyes seemed tired. It wasn't out of exhaustion, but from the long hours of keeping them alert. He had reason too now. It was official, he was a Koden. His bloodline had awoken during the long journey, but he was still just a pup. It would take a bit longer to explore, in depth, what he had woken up in those long months. With a sudden explosion of laughter, the silence was broken. Kentei took off into a run, moving away from his two companions with a sudden burst of speed. Confused, Raijin and their female companion Aoi, who Kentei insisted on calling Nee-chan, took off after him. It didn't take long before the reason for Kentei's excitement became apparent. There was a village just over the horizon. The excitement eventually wore down when the group realized that the village was still a few hours off. With their next destination in mind, however, the travel time seemed to pass in an instant. By the time the sun reached the middle of the sky, the group had arrived. To their surprise, however, it was not the village they were searching for. No, it was called Momo Village. They rejoiced, however, when they received word from the elder of said village.. that their intended destination was but a days journey away. Finally, after so long.. the group was close. There was nothing to stop them. Instead of resting, Kentei insisted they move on. There would be time to rest when he finished speaking with the leader of, according to the elder, Yokuchigakure. A woman named Rina, huh? Dawn the next morning came like a snail. As the sun cracked over the horizon and gifted the land with its warm light, the group stood in amazement. There, in front of them, were the gates to Yokuchigakure. Through them, a massive tree as tall as mountains sprouted up in the center of the village. It was something that they had never seen. They didn't even know when it had happened, but rock had turned to grass. They were surrounded by trees, plants.. and even a small forest. This was paradise. This was a village.. where life itself was granted salvation. Its eternal beauty and wonder was something that the Samurai had never seen before. Finally, they were here. After so long.. the group was in Yokuchigakure.. "Finally, we've arrived.." The young samurai muttered, the moment having washed over the group. It was true, they were finally there. The second destination of his mission, Yokuchigakure. The second leg of the Warrior's Outreach.. was about to begin. | words 964 tags none notes Exhausted Kentei is exhausted chakra 100% |
