SING MY MELODY
The sun shined bright over the young village for the Yokuchigaruke. The streets were bustling with people, children laughs were heard, birds sang and the village was overshadowed by the large tree that covered the now busy village. In the middle of the town, a bridge cross away in the plot of land in the middle of the flowing lake that the village was known for stood that gigantic large tree that had so many wondering how had it been able of growing that large. The Mistress’ office was right at the bottom of its shade. On the third floor, in the room with the balcony that overlooked the village sat a young female, younger looking than what she is finishing up the morning’s paperwork.
One more signature and… paperwork was done. Slowly getting up from that chair, she’d slowly step out to the balcony and leaned on the railing. Never could’ve Rina believed she’d end up helping find this place let alone run it. Still the simpler days did strike a feeling of loss; the times were she could out and not have to deal with the peoples questions all the time.
Then again she still did that in more than one occasion, things were settling in place and most paperwork she received was request for land to build homes or businesses or the rare request for a plot of land in the close outskirts or in the area she saved for the now arising noble families to make their clan home.
Rina couldn’t complain, she had one of her own. Not across the lake but right next to her place of work. Close enough for comfort but she did go out more than often and sometimes received the visit from her father. Another ordinary day like others.
Well so she though. Looking out, she could see a squad of her Anbu crossing the bridge with someone. She’d wait as they came closer, taking note of what seemed to be a child. Uh, someone doing shenanigans again? It couldn’t be…could it?
Still the female slowly pulled up from the leaning position she was in on the rails and walked inside, slowly making her way to her desk. She didn’t sit down, more like stood there, not mad or annoyed but with a genuine smile on her lips. Right on time too.
The squad leader came in with a young boy, no older than ten years old more than likely and would stand there “We found him wandering the forest outskirts. Seems to have been lost.” The Anbu said before Rina would raise a brow “Lost? Surely you jest, with the amount of villages we have in the area how could he have been lost?”
There was a possibility then again, part of the area was still uncharted and untapped, and maybe he came from that way. The female pushed a few strands of that silky pink hair off her face and slowly stepped over, leaning down slightly to look at the boy into his eyes “You may leave us, I wish to hear his story.” She’d say.
As the ANBU heard that, he’d nod and took his leave, leaving her and the boy in the room before she’d look at him again “Don’t worry, I’m not going to hurt you.” She’d say, smiling reassuringly at the boy before asking “My name is Rina, what’s yours?” she’d ask gently
The room they were in, things were made of wood. There was the balcony she was just in and then by the door that led to it there was her desk, covered in some papers , ink brushes and ink pots for her to write. To the left there was a set of comfortable looking couches with a coffee table in front of them. To the right there was a smaller desk covered in so much paperwork, it wasn’t hers however, it was her assistants. The room was a bit bland for the most part, she hadn’t bothered to decorate it much, considering her home was nearby and she tended to rush paperwork so she could just spend her day out of the office most of the time.
Rina would wait for his response as she smiled. She wore a green qipao coat with golden details, her hair was tied in a ponytail and she had a set of shorts beneath, black tight high socks and on top of that tight high boots. Lastly she also wore a set of black gloves.
