Sing My Melody, Beloved Yokuchi
Rina would look at Allen, now her expression having changed “I need to be honest here with you Allen… please keep the fact you’ve come from and when you’ve came a top secret. I don’t need you getting in trouble or lords forbid you get captured… not that I wouldn’t like a bit of skull cracking, but let’s avoid all cases of such” she’d say before closing her eyes and smiling a bit. Allen was a member of the village so she saw him as one of its members…
But deep down she also saw him as a valuable asset to any and all research there could be done in this now shattered words. Records were indeed rather scarce and even more they were impossible to read most of the time.
Even so the girl lifted a finger and asked for a glass of Sake, closing her eyes. What was wrong with her all of the sudden? It wasn’t like her to drink during the day so something was infact poking at her in the back of her mind. When she was given the drink, she’d look over again “Listen Allen, I don’t want to hear that you got yourself kidnapped for blabbering too much. I’m okay with you tell my Hanchou here and myself and I will entrust some information to a few select members of the higher ranks but that’s it…”
Looking over to Ai, she’d sigh “Stronger… right. Next you’ll tell me I’m the new legendary leader of villages… We’re a still baby village, and even as much as it costs to admit it, there can be other villages around that have their own lands. I’ve heard rumors about one nestled in the mountains west from here. Remind me to use one of the messenger falcons to see if it can get there and deliver some kind of letter to whoever rules it at some point. Would be nice to have alliances at the present time. Besides Ai, we’re a region rich for its flora and fauna but we fall back when it comes to getting materials such as ores and the like.”
Rina was going all giddy again, downright going on a tangent not to say she seemed a bit frustrated as she reached the glass to her lips, taking a small sip of her sake. Closing her eyes, she’d sigh and smiled weakly. Mistress of the Yokuchigaruke… She had all that she wanted... right?
