PRECISION everything must be completed with utmost precison He was silent in his approach as the wind cast a gentle breeze onto his form. His cloak fluttered about his form, black in color for once, and his rook mask was placed firmly upon his face, disguising his features. As he walked towards an extremely familiar village myriad thoughts ran rampant through his mind. It had been five decades since he had last been here, and memories just would not stop assailing him. As he came over a large hill he stopped under a tree that was just beginning to come to life with blossoms. As he stood atop the hill his eyes, one sapphire and one amethyst, fell upon the very similar mountain formation of the three wolves. "Sanrou, how long has it been since I was last here? Forty years? Fifty? No it feels like more," he spoke to himself as he held a hand over his heart under his cloak. "I wonder how they're doing... Asuka... Akiko..." He closed his eyes for a moment as he remembered the good old days. He remembered teaching his daughter how to walk, laughing when she covered her face in cake on her birthday, and those gentle moments he experienced with his wife Akiko. "They're probably dead," he sighed and shook his head before continuing on down the path towards a small village he remembered being on the out skirts of Sanrou. It was extremely apparent that he hadn't been to this area in quite a long time. He had heard that an entirely new General ran the place, and with his reign came a larger sense of peace to the land, if only by a small margin. As Ryou continued on down the path he had chosen, he came to pass several structured he didn't recognize. Soon he even came to be in a small settlement where people were running about in the streets doing various tasks. It seemed he had come to a market, or at least that was his impression by the time he left. He continued on to walk down the path for quite some time, and by the time the sky was painted a warm orange hue, he finally came upon a small settlement where he himself had once lived. It had grown a bit in size since he left. There were a few new homes and shops now, but the largest house in the area still remained in the same family as the last time he was here. The Yamamoto family, the family of a dear friend, still inhabited the building. It gave him a small warm feeling to know of this, and yet filled him with dread to not be able to speak with them and see if his old friend was stick up and kicking. He didn't stop, and before long he found another large house, this one with the words still engraved into the frame of the door from when he carved them there himself, Shizuka. When he even happened to see a light on inside in the area of where the kitchen happened to be, a smile graced his face. They were still here. That was a relief. He wandered around the side of the building, making sure that no one noticed him, to a large out cropping of rock where he remembered he had made a hidden passage into the building's basement. There was no other passage from inside the building, at least that he knew of. Still he didn't enter. He didn't belong here, and even though he was certain that no one else knew of the place, he didn't want to enter even if the house was technically still his own. His mismatched eyes gazed back towards the house as he stood near the entrance before he caught sight of something odd on the hill in back. He spent no time at all in his venture to go investigate, however when he did find the stone structure out back his eyes grew wide behind his mask. It was a tomb stone and written upon it was one name, Shizuka, Akiko. | words 683 tags asuka notes just what has happened in the time he's been away? chakra 100% |
