Trial System
-----
-----
The purpose of this system is for the purpose of trial and error. Basically lets say in order to develop your character you have to under go a horrendous ordeal that could more than likely result in that character's death. We all know that no one likes losing that character that you worked oh so hard for, so that's why we have this system. This system is basically a bumper. It will allow you to undertake this horrendous ordeal that you have to go through without the worry of losing your character. What that means is that if you lose and say your character should die, then the roleplay will simply act as though a horrible dream, or it never happened, and be archived. On the other hand, you could also happen to completely succeed and then gain this new ability you worked so hard for, however there are a few conditions that must be met for you to under go a trial.
The requirements are as follows:
-Staff Intervention
Basically meaning that a member of Staff must administer your trial, you are not allowed to solo it or simply do it with a friend.
-Predetermined Goal
In order for there to be a trial, the player must have a predetermined goal for the RP. They cannot dictate how the RP may turn out, but this goal will allow Staff to plan how your RP may or may not go.
-Sacrifice of EXP/RYO
Once you enter a trial all EXP and RYO reward for that RP automatically becomes forfeit unless you manage to pass your trial which will then cause you to earn half of the normal reward as a payment to the staff member who held the trial for you.
-Dungeon Master Aspect
Once you enter in a trial, your RP becomes highly dependent on the Staff member presiding over the trial. The Staff member will determine in which direction to take the RP through NPC interaction and will most likely act very much like a Dungeon Master in D&D. As such, when you register a trial please be aware that a staff member must accept your trial and then plan for the trial. It is highly likely your trial will not occur right away.
Please note that you are free to under go the horrendous ordeal outside of a trial, however you will always be subject to the possibility of injury or worse death outside of a trial.Participants:
