they say i'm caught up in a dream
Tera's ears perked up when Allen spoke... only to fall flat when she heard his request. "...Sorry, Allen. I can stop," she murmured in acquiescence. She didn't really understand why he would make the request - she was just trying to be friendly, and to have her affection be unwanted kind of hurt her feelings - but she wouldn't be a very good friend if she was making him uncomfortable all the time, would she?
"...I think you're being a little judgmental about our sensei. One encounter doesn't define somebody, y'know. Maybe he was having a bad day that one time. And maybe he's just a little... too excitable sometimes." She shrugged. "Anyway... I don't know, I just.. I don't like it when people talk bad about others. You never know, he could be the best sensei in the village, but if you write him off as no good you'll never see that in him."
Kenji, apparently, shared her opinion of Allen's behavior... only he was a little louder and angrier. A lot, actually.
She'd seen him mad before. But she'd never seen him quite so mad as he was at that moment. And even though Tera wasn't the target of his anger, she still flinched when he yelled. She didn't like it when her friends fought - and that was what she was sure was going to happen, even if she got in the middle of it and tried to diffuse the situation.
"Kenji..." Eyes wide, she watched her best friend run out of the meeting, more swiftly than she could even think about - so there wasn't any way she could catch up to him...
Silently, she looked at Allen, worry clear on her face.
And then Rina came into the hallway and told Allen to go back inside the room... That was a little weird, but she guessed that the Mistress had something to say to her - and to Kenji - about him that she didn't want him to hear...
She leaned into Rina's hand as the pink-haired woman petted her. "It's okay, Rina-chan," she replied, a small smile forming on her face as she hugged the woman. "Nii-san's pretty good at calming people down, isn't he?"
Tera couldn't help but wonder what the big deal about Allen was.. and at the moment she kind of doubted he would ever tell them.
