when she's lit the whole wide world i want to know if you will beg me and then tell me how to love you like anybody else would i know you're risking failure go run for cover you better start to love her
It had been a few days since the events in Tsumi Town had occurred and a certain forest-cloaked man had made her an offer: join the ANBU Corps of his village. The offer was most certainly tempting; after all, if she was part of a village, she wouldn't be alone anymore. She wouldn't have to worry about constantly watching her back, as she would have comrades to aid her if need be. She would get to put her skills to use, although that, for her, was somewhat of a double-edged sword: she wanted to use her healing skills, but not so much those skills that had turned her into a finely trained killer.
Still, if she followed up on his offer, she would have a home again. It wouldn't be the same - it couldn't be - but all the same it would be home. She would make friends, eventually, and have a life outside of fleeing pursuers in order to save her own skin. She would be a part of something bigger than herself. And that was far too tempting to pass up.
She had skulked around Tsumi Town for a few days, until she had actually reached a decision. She couldn't help but wonder whether or not the redhead, Maki, had done the same. Really, it was quite an advantageous offer for a rogue such as herself. There were some things you just couldn't turn down.
And so Eri had sought out the village of Ounougakure and asked for an audience with their ANBU Captain. It had taken a while for them to decide to let her in - she supposed it was rather odd to have a stranger show up and ask to see someone of importance - but eventually, she was within the young village's walls and standing in front of the door that, supposedly, would lead her to the man she sought.
She knocked on the door, and then she waited to be acknowledged.
