PRECISION everything must be completed with utmost precison His foot steps were quiet despite the terrain. The wind howled in his ears, blocking out sounds of most other things in the area except for the occasional howl of a wolf separated from its pack. The wind caused the forest green cloak that hung around his shoulders to billow in the wind and reveal one of his katana sheathed at his right hip. If there was one thing he really hated about wind, it would be that it messed up his hair like hell. After all, he tried his best to take care of it and now it was just being tossed around like a rag doll. Absolutely annoying. It didn't take him long at all to reach the peak of the rather large rocky hill he had been climbing, and when at long last he had he took a moment to survey his surroundings. The area around him was actually quite beautiful. Trees sprouted up from the hills in various locations. A river split the valley below him in two. A water fall could be seen off in the distance. Hell there was even grass stretching up along the banks along with wild flowers. The only thing that really detracted from the view was the fact that he could see black smoke plumes rising far off into the distance. "Huh, not even two hours out from the village and I can already see the plumes from the Molten Fields. Ah well, it's still a way's out so even if they do errupt," he spoke to himself, "The debris would never reach Ounou. Maybe this valley, but not Ounou." He reached up with his right arm and placed it on the mantle of his cloak as he closed his eyes and took in a deep breath. He couldn't even smell the sulfur from the Molten Fields, no instead he smelled the sweet fragrances of the Mountain Flowers that dotted the landscape all around him. It was quite calming and provided the perfect relaxant for his nerves. It was perhaps another ten minutes before Ryou had descended the mountain side and now seated himself under the shade of a Black Ash tree. Down here in the valley the howl of the wind was distinctly more quiet and he was actually able to hear himself think a lot better than he had been able to previously. He could still hear the howl of the wolf in the distance, however thought nothing on it as he pulled out a small log book and a pen before writing down something. What it was that he was writing would be of insignificant importance. | words 439 tags Zaizen notes xxx chakra 100% |
