even if I can feel them, I try not to act on such…
The girl would slowly get up, taking a few steps before turning around and looking at Rei "I'd rather not... I lose control at the sight of blood half of the time... with it goes most my sanity and self control..." she'd say before rubbing her brow. Rei had a point however, bottling up things, more importantly feelings was a horrible thing in the long run.
Akira closed her eyes shut and sighed "Besides Ryou would kill me if he found out I attacked a fellow ANBU member just for the sheer fuck of it. I'd rather not become a target to the end of his blade, Rei-chan" she'd answer. First time she had called her that but to be honest, she had a point. Captain Shizuka was a great swordsman and she knew how deadly he could be, he had managed to fell her a few days back and the result wasn't the best.
Even so the girl seemed tense, her mind was a mess. Maybe it was the sleepless nights haunted by memories of her past. While she might not remember much, Akira's memories had started to slowly piece themselves together bit by bit. And she wasn't enjoying the result in the long run.
"Aww. Well, that's not any fun." Rei pouted at her. Yeah, maybe it was a little dangerous, but hell, what was worth doing was often dangerous. "Well, you have to loosen up and have some fun or stressing out about everything might damn well kill you."
Rei considered that for a moment. "I would take the blame, you know. What's he going to do to you if it's my fault anyway?" She shrugged. "Frankly, I couldn't give two shits if Ryou gets mad at me. He's pissy all the time anyway." To her, at least. Perhaps that was because she often tried to piss him off, but eh, that wasn't the point.
"Get your skinny ass back over here and sit the fuck down. You look so tense, it can't be good for your health, y'know." Rei wasn't exactly a masseuse or anything, but she could give a damn good back rub, if she did say so herself. She didn't care too much what Akira's opinion of that would be; she was determined to get her to relax, even if it was just a little bit.
even if I can feel them, I try not to act on such…
As Rei told her to get her ass back on that bench, Akira rolled her eyes before sighing "Fine..." she'd mutter, reaching over and plopping herself down. What else did she like? Uh... fuck Akira didn't do much besides work and sometimes read books, did that count.
"Uh... What else? I don't... do much besides my job..." she'd say. Maybe that was the issue, Akira was know for overworking herself constantly, this was true. The girl closed her eyes and shook her head"When I'm not working I do like to read... but... its been at least a month since I've done such, being honest here..."
Maybe that was her damn problem truth be told. The way she said it however, just seemed to show that she was hell bent on working more, not less. Slowly she'd sigh "I don't waste my money... most the time... Unless... I go shopping..." she'd blurt out, blushing up as she remembered the fact that she had also not done that in a while and she was starting to need newer clothes, especially some for her more sneaky/investigative assignments.
"Okay. Now, if you try to get away from me, I swear to Jashin that I'll kick your ass." She pulled Akira close and began to methodically rub the woman's back - through her clothes, of course. She imagined that, if she even thought about putting her hands under Akira's hoodie, the woman would have a shit fit. "Try to relax. I promise you'll feel better."
Rei was beginning to get a few ideas about how to loosen Akira up... but she knew the damnable woman wouldn't go for any of them. Feh. That was the problem with people, they were never any fun.
"Fucking hell, Akira-chan, really? That's all you do?" Rei was a little incredulous, and - in her mind - quite understandably so. Not only was she a member of ANBU, but she led a Clan, and still had time to fuck around and do all sorts of stupid shit in the name of entertainment. But Akira hasn't even relaxed with a book in a month? That was crazy. "You work too damn much. That's why you're not any fun."
Rei considered that for a moment. "Well then. After I'm done rubbing your back, let's go shopping, if anywhere you like to shop is open."
even if I can feel them, I try not to act on such…
One more time, Akira was letting her mind wander but as Rei started to massage her back, she'd give off one heck of a relieved sigh, closing her eyes shut before a shiver went up her spine as she shook her head "I've been busy... I needed money to get money for my new apartment after all...."
Something seemed off, Akira was starting to loosen up, closing her eyes shut before she'd pull herself away for a moment and slowly reached for her hoodie, dropping it slowly to let Rei do it at a bit more at ease. Akira would place her hoodie over legs and looked over "What shop would be open at this time of night? Just the restaurants and pubs, and i'm not one that fancies drinking... I don't hold my alcohol well"
Another detail. Hm maybe Akira's problem was indeed lack of relaxation, considering how much she'd overworked herself. That was more than clear as she sighed heavily "I have the worse luck possible in things..."
"You need to try not being busy sometime. It's pretty fun, I promise." Rei cracked a grin when Akira shivered under her touch. Heh, she might get somewhere with the woman after all. Kneading her stiff shoulders, Rei leaned in to murmur in her ear. "Seriously. You have to find a good way to relax, Akira-chan~"
She was a little hesitant to give life to any of the ideas she had had - it just wouldn't do to alienate the younger woman when she had finally gotten her to give friendship a shot - which was quite unusual for Rei. Normally she would just do it and say fuck the consequences.
A brow rose when Akira discarded her hoodie. Damn, I must have magic fucking fingers.
"Feh. How the hell should I know? I don't shop." Her tone was light, less hostile than it usually was; although her intention had just been to get under Akira's skin, she'd found herself having quite a bit of fun spending time with the woman. And that? Well, it was.. interesting.
"I'm sure you don't have the worst luck. If you had the worst luck, I would have given you plague already, and then sat here and pointed and laughed while you writhed around in agony."
even if I can feel them, I try not to act on such…
Rei's words did mean something to the girl, they really did. Closing her eyes, the girl gave a deep sigh before slowly looking over "I know... But the nights with lack of sleep don't help my case too much either... When I do have free time, i get a couple of pages into a book and pretty much fall asleep on the spot..."
Slowly she'd shake her head. While talking to Rei was fun, the girl needed to maybe head home at this rate and get some sleep. A yawn escaped her lips as she stretched her arms and chuckled "...You're right, if i were that unlucky I would be trying to get my ass over to the good doctors office... As for the screaming in pain... I don't know Rei... I seem to be intolerant to pain in some cases... or most the times I just... only react to pain later on..."
Weird. Even so Akira was in fact growing tired and could try and get some decent rest. Lord only knew how long she'd have to stay out the day after for that Intel mission
"You poor thing." She really did feel a touch of sympathy for Akira; despite her usual attitude, and her reputation of being heartless, Rei wasn't entirely uncaring. "Why do you have trouble sleeping?" Sure, it wasn't really her business - but then again, most of what she had pried out of the woman in the past while wasn't any of her business either, and look how well that had gone.
"I wouldn't really give you plague. Probably," Rei assured her, although she was pretty sure Akira hadn't been worried about the possibility in the first place.
Akira was finally starting to relax a little, and that made Rei feel pretty damn good about herself. Normally she caused chaos and irritation; it was a nice change to make someone feel good for once. Finishing up the back rub, Rei pulled Akira into a hug. "Next time you've got a free day, let's do something, okay?"
She could tell the woman was tired - with the way she worked, Rei wasn't surprised - so she wasn't going to bug her for much longer. But - just because she had to do something inappropriate, or Akira might get the idea that she was somehow a changed woman, Jashin forbid - the woman cracked a mischievous grin and groped Akira's bosom. "Goodnight, Akira-chan~"
Then she released the younger ANBU and hurried away, all the better to escape whatever the woman's reaction was going to be.

As much as she hated to admit, this bit was helping her relax, even if only just a bit. To the question, Akira responded “Night terrors…. Memories of the past that I can’t normally recall… while it’s been eight years since the sights of what they show me have past, only now am I starting to understand their meaning.” She’d reply before sighing heavily
Right now all Akira wanted was to sleep now, her eyes closing slowly before she felt Rei hug her. She’d jump a bit but allowed it for now before nodding “Okay… I’ll keep that in mind…” she’d say before she’d smile weakly, wanting to retire for the evening.
When she felt Rei’s hand reach for her breast, the girl went wide eyed before hearing her say goodnight. She would’ve given chase but was too damn tired to even give a rat’s ass right now as she slowly placed her hoodie back on “Bleh… I forgot she’s got inappropriate tendencies…” she’d mutter, pulling her hood over her face and slowly laid back on the bench for a bit. For now she’d just refrain from leaving, just decided to stare up at the sky quietly for a bit, her mind wandering into though again, once again trying to calm the turmoil inside her
