INNOCENCE Shinobi aren't all bad... are they, Father? Ever since the young heir's earlier statement, his expression had shifted to one of sadness. It was an admittance that he didn't like making. Unlike his father, and even the rest of his clan.. he did not possess a chakra nature that was 'common' among the Samurai. In fact, his was probably the most rare. It didn't help that his escort, a man whom he trusted heavily for this journey, was so easy to give information on his situation. He didn't even know his people's signature technique, so he wasn't even ready to learn more with his chakra nature. When Akane asked her question, Kentei would glance over to her. A simple nod would have answered it easily enough, but he decided to do it the more difficult way. "It's rare enough for Samurai to even possess an affinity. The most that our techniques utilize is chakra flow and shape manipulation. We Koden are a little different, since each of us has one. It's part of our.. what do you shinobi call it.. Kekkei Genkai?" With that, the boy closed his mouth. He didn't want to say too much on the matter. Even most samurai didn't know about his clan's bloodline limit, so why should he mention it to them? Still, Kei did tell him about his families clay usage. Could that be a trait too? Feeling that he was thinking too much on the matter, the young boy shook his head. Just in time too, since not long after did he hear Kei begin to speak to him. So, there was a Soragakure shinobi who was decent at Kenjutsu? The fact that she was a doton user as well, much like their entire family, was quite the helpful piece of information. He didn't really need help with Kenjutsu, since Nii-san was here to help with that. Hell, he was already getting the basics of a few things. Wouldn't be much longer until he was able to get started on things for real. At the suggestion of her tagging along with them, his eyes would widen a bit. That would indeed help, since they wouldn't be in town for long. It also would make it interesting to have another traveling companion, since it would make the travel time seem much faster. It sucked that they couldn't move at high speeds like the Shinobi could, but that was a price they had to pay. Reaching out, the young boy would take hold of Kei's hand and would pull himself to his feet. Once he was standing, his escort did as well. "That sounds like a great idea, Kei-san. I would love to have another sensei." A bright smile would be on the boy's face. He wasn't sure how he'd be able to use the earth style in his Kenjutsu.. but he was damn well determined to try to find one. He knew that Doton was a physical element, at least from what he heard. Maybe he could coat his blade in earth? That wasn't the matter at hand, however. When Kei mentioned that he wanted to get their room set up before nightfall, the young samurai looked outside. He'd jump nearly immediately at the sight that he saw. The sun was setting on the horizon. An orange glow was filling the village. Had it really taken this long? How many hours had passed? He didn't even notice. "I'd like that, Kei-san. I promise we won't be much of a bother." | words 579 tags Akane notes Kentei's Last post chakra 100% |
